I want to apologize for not being more present and posting on here as often as I would like. I was in the Flower-Mound Texas area visiting my brother who lives there. He recently purchased an older home and aside from helping him remodel it. I took the family for a quick vacation before the school year started back up again. It was a blast. We were able to get a lot of different home projects done except for one where we finally had to surrender and call a window expert in the area to help us out. They made it seem so easy and flawless. It was actually kind of embarrassing actually. What took us literally like 3 hours of fidgeting around pretending we knew what we are doing, they got all the windows (12 total!) replaced and installed in about same time.
Aside from the home remodeling, we took the time to enjoy some of the most amazing tourist attractions. We were able to see exactly where JFK was shot, not just the grassy knoll but also the building it is alleged it happened from, or at least where Oswald was found after the shooting. We went to Six Flags over Texas which was a lot of fun swell. The highlight for me was to go to Schlitterbahn water park. Even though it was about a 3 hour drive there, it was completely worth it. My family agreed but they also said it was more of a toss up between the amuse park and the water park. Either way we had a great time for the most part.
The only real complaint I can say was the hard labor on the house in what seemed like 100% humidity and 100 degrees heat. In all actuality it was 85% humidity and 96 degrees , so not too bad. ;) Hopefully you know I am joking here? It was horrible. Probably that is why I appreciated the water park the best. Texas is hot and humid people! Be prepared for that if you plan in visiting. I do not think I would ever want to live there, but I would not mind another visit to there.
How about you all? I have noticed I am not getting too many comments here? What is that? I would love to hear if you have been to Texas or if you know of any hidden treasures within the DFW area? I plan on visiting my brother again and would not really like to do a repeat fun itinerary except eh water park again. As always feel free to email me or leave a comment.
